Sara Bailey - Principal

Sara Bailey began her educational career in 2006 at Malcom Bridge Middle School in Oconee County. She later joined High Shoals Elementary, where she taught math, Early Intervention Program (EIP), and special education, demonstrating her commitment to supporting the diverse academic and developmental needs of all students. Mrs. Bailey went on to serve as an assistant principal in Madison County, gaining valuable leadership experience at the elementary level. She then returned to Malcom Bridge Middle School as an assistant principal for two years, further strengthening her administrative experience. Driven by a deep connection to the High Shoals community, Mrs. Bailey returned to High Shoals Elementary as principal, bringing a commitment to student success.

Chelsea Palmer - Assistant Principal

Mrs. Palmer is the Assistant Principal at High Shoals Elementary School. Before her current position, she was an Instructional Technology Specialist for Oconee County Schools. She is a graduate of The University of Georgia with an Undergraduate and Graduate Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has her Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University as well as her Tier 1  and 2 leadership certification. She previously taught 3rd and 5th grades.
