Tamara Goforth

Ms. Goforth joined this wonderful community in 2023 as the Director of Student Services for Oconee County Schools after three decades as an administrator and teacher in North Carolina. She spent five years as a Principal at an elementary school. which was one of the highlights of her career, and she is looking forward to returning to that role at High Shoals. 

Ms. Goforth looks forward to getting to know each of you and your children. She is anxious to lead HSES and continue the stellar work of Jennifer Whitaker and her team.

Chelsea Palmer

Mrs. Palmer is the Assistant Principal at High Shoals Elementary School. Before her current position, she was an Instructional Technology Specialist for Oconee County Schools. She is a graduate of The University of Georgia with an Undergraduate and Graduate Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has her Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University as well as her Tier 1 leadership certification. She previously taught 3rd and 5th grades.
